Success is usually found between these extremes where exercising ethical power and influence can drive good results. Kathleen is the visionary leader of Business Analysis. She founded International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA®) in 2003 and led it until 2013. In her care IIBA grew from a 37 member volunteer-run organization to a global association with 29 staff supporting over 26,000 members in 120 countries and over $5 million in revenue. With no physical office this presented unique management and leadership challenges. She is writing two books: one on how to create, run, and sustain a virtual organization, and another called Polite Politics: Succeed Without Selling Your Soul. Businesses and conferences around the world invite Kathleen to present keynotes, instruct, and advise. She has worked with hundreds of companies as a consultant and as a leader in business analysis, with experience in financial services, telecoms, managing offshore software development, and product management. In March 2014 she cofounded MicroMarketplace with Julian Sammy to get on-demand expert advice to managers one hour at a time.
